McDonalds has this new item for this year’s National Day period, laksa delight, in chicken or prawn form. Let’s take a look at how McDonald’s laksa burger fared in this food review.
Encapsulated within their usual soft buns that were slightly toasted beneath, crunchy lettuce at the bottom for the refreshing texture. Chicken patty was the usual crispy savoury patty, and the prawn patty was somewhat disappointing, dull pinkish with one or 2 tiny shrimps hidden within. On top of it was an egg, smeared with their main ingredient; the laksa sauce. It was mixed together with crunchy shredded carrots and cabbage, which had a lovely touch to it. Sauce was surprisingly delightful. Spicy yet sweet, thick and rich, resembling our locally loved laksa dish.
Aside from all the mundane McDonald’s touch from buns to patties, the main focal item in the form of laksa sauce was definitely spot on. Yummilicious!
