Sick of tabaoing from hawker centres with lacklustre quality due to dried out noodles and ingredients, YumzYumz had Carl’s Junior’s sourdough original patty melt and here is what we thought of it.
Sourdough? To us it was simply two slices of bread, buttered up and grilled, with an enormous amount of oil as it was extremely oily. Within it were slices of cheese, melted and oozing onto their signature juicy beef patty. A generous topping of diced onions was added, giving it a crunchy texture and sweet acidic taste.
At $9.90 for a combo meal, Carl’s Junior’s Sourdough Original Patty Melt is something out of the normal buns, but still greasy and juicy.
