Located deep within the Balestier and Whampoa area, Wheeler’s Yard is camouflaged among the other warehouse-liked buildings, with a space almost like an aircraft hanger. We chanced upon this lovely cafe that offers coffee and traditional pub offerings, retro-fitted with bicycle themed warehouse turned cafe. YumzYumz reviewed their avocado smoothie and here is our food review of it.
As stated in their menu, Wheeler’s Yard’s Avocado Smoothie consist of avocado, hazelnut, maple syrup, yoghurt and soy milk.
The amount of avocado was significantly faded and almost non existent, except for the faint greenish appearance. The most obvious taste was definitely hazel nut and maple syrup, toasty, nutty, earthy fragrance and taste.
Yoghurt and soy milk probably took up the bulk of the volume, followed by lots of ice cubes.
At $11, it was creamy and tasty, but probably not the best bang for one’s buck.
