Hungry and yearning for some Italian food, we tried out PocoLoco at Upper Thomson, and tried out their squid ink pasta due to their really nice menu photo. Let’s see how their Nero tasted.

Served on a huge plating, piping hot and shreds of parsley for garnish. The rest were total darkness from the squid ink.

Taste was mostly garlic and hints of pepper. It is said that squid ink gives the dish hints of saltiness and sweetness of the sea. From what we had, it was just garlic, pepper and olive oil.

There were about 10 clams that gave the needed seafood sweetness or umami, 1 prawn which was cooked nicely, and finally, 1 awefully lonely slice of squid.

Restaurant standard perhaps in a way, priced at $15.90 a plate, we could say it was nice but not great that we will yearn to return.
