Smacked right at the junction of Holland Village, YumzYumz visited this kopi thiam with Pepper Castle gave them a try. This is our food review of their Garlic Naan and Palak Paneer.

First up is their garlic naan. It took about 15 minutes before we got our fix as their take-aways crowd had long waiting list. Which means, their food gotta be up to scratch for them to be in demand. True enough, their oven baked flat bread, garlic naan was delightfully satisfying, and really filling too. They were fluffy and infused with butter and garlic spread at the top, with chopped parsley giving it the added flavour.

Next up was their palak paneer. For those who do not know, palak is a thick paste made from puréed spinach, and paneer is a type of cottage cheese. It was extremely thick and generous in quantity. There were about 10 cubes of palak, which has the similar texture to really dense tofu.

Combining these two were really unique and enjoyable. With the palak paneer already full of garlic, dipping the garlic naan into it created a garlic party in our mouths.

At $3.50 for 1 whole garlic naan, and $10.90 for a huge bowl of palak paneer, we were filled to the brim and definitely satisfied with the quality of North Indian cuisine.
