Wondering what to eat near SPH at Toa Payoh? How about some roasted pork and duck for lunch at Roasted Master 燒臘師傅 which we tried our for this food review.
Served with white rice, Roasted Master’s roasted duck was tender and rich with flavour, with crisp skin to go along. Roasted pork was our favourite as it had an equal amount of fats vs meat, coupled with a crispy skin that was briny and delectable. Char siew were thick and savoury, but had a texture that was somewhat tough, but still tasty. Gravy viscosity was thick and smooth, elevating the satisfaction of all 3 types of roasted delights. Portion wise was given generously and definitely filling and economical.
For a simple fuss free lunch at Roasted Master for $5.80, each type of meat brought out its own characteristics and intricacy.
