Looking for a simple and economical meal at Malaysia Boleh, we tried out Petaling Street Famous Clay Pot Chicken Rice for this food review.
Located within Malaysia Boleh in AMK Hub, we got our piping steaming hot claypot rice order within 5 minutes. Rice was perfectly cooked, with a vibrantly laid out ingredients on top. Freshly cut spring onions, a couple of sliced chinese sausage, well marinated chicken chunks, and a healthy dose of dark soy sauce and oil all around. Tiny bits of salted fish were found, not in abundance but ample. A thorough mix and it was surprisingly tasty and aromatic. The crust formed beneath, or in paella term, socarrat, was particularly enjoyable for us. Not burnt but rather similar to rice cracker but better. The quantity was sufficient for 2 pax if you ain’t that hungry.
At $5.50, Petaling Street Famous Clay Pot Chicken Rice is definitely nice and simple for any meal with a good quantity to satisfy anyone.
