Aburi-EN at Vivocity spots a rustic looking design with open kitchen concept, allowing diners to view all the fiery actions at the grill. YumzYumz tried out Aburi-En’s Sumibi Chicken Yaki and this is our food review of it.
Served on a hot plate, the delicately prepared chicken came piping hot and ready for devouring. As the name suggesting Sumibi, which means charcoal fire (炭火), was AMAZINGLY smoky, deep and intense flavour from the grill, savoury and OMG tenderlicious.
On the sides was a slice of lemon for garnish, and a small pile of yellow greenish yuzu paste. It was pleasingly salty, zesty and full bodied flavour, complimenting the tenderlicious chicken yaki, lifting the flavour umpteen folds.
For a $8.80, we got a tremendously exquisite charcoal grilled chicken creation that was so delightful, it can be considered heavenly.
