Tapas at Tapas Club, YumzYumz at their Squid Ink Croquettes, or Croquetas de Sepia and lets find out how their review went.
Presented with 4 golden chunky fritters with a carefully placed drop of creamy garlicky cream on top. Each croquette was crispy on the outside, but not too thick of a crust. It was almost like a gentle skin covering what the important stuff that was on the inside.
The fillings was simply amazing and tasted heavenly. Creamy, subtle texture in every bite, but yet doesn’t interfere with its primary creamy sensation. Taste was complex and tough to pin point what was going on in our mouths. Its mainly savoury, hints of sweetness probably from squid perhaps, and the heightened umami taste.
At $16 per plate, each croquette was essentially $4. But with its amazing quality, we shall let its costly price tag slide for this wonderful experience.
