Thinking of having some comfort food dim sum on a rainy day, YumzYumz headed to Din Tai Fung for some of their signature xiao long bao. And of course along with their crispy prawn pancake and limited item of chili crab xiao long bao.
Din Tai Fung Signature Xiao Long Bao
Soft and thin wrapping, with tenderlicious juicy filling, each precious tiny creation was definitely worth its weight in gold.
As for pricing, it was 10 pieces of xiaolongbao for $10.30.
Chili Crab Xiao Long Bao
For this month, Din Tai Fung is having a limited item of Chili crab & pork xiao long bao, 4 pieces at $7.50. Citi bank cardmembers gets a 10% off. Similar to their signature xiaolongbao’s wrapping, but with chili crab and pork mixture, with mildly spicy gravy.
Even though it wasn’t an item that blew us away or overwhelmingly accentuating, but definitely worth giving it a try.
Crispy golden prawn pancake
Palmed sized crispy golden pancake made with crunchy prawns. Every bite we had was crunchy and crispy, savoury and umami sweetness. For a dish to be shared, $10.30 seemed really reasonable, especially for such quality.
