One of the few carrot cake stalls in Cheng San Hawker Centre, YumzYumz tried Liak Huat Good Food’s white carrot cake and this is our food review of it.
Their kueh was soft and not much bite to it, but was fried really nicely with tons of garlic infused into it. The amount of egg was quite generous and fried till really crispy, holding the kueh within really nicely. Cai poh (preserved radish) was scarce and hardly found. Lucikly the taste was up to standard and really enjoyable as a sidedish. We thought the chili was really awesome, with strong smokey after taste and quite spicy. It went really well with the easy to enjoy carrot cakes.
At $3 a plate, we would say this is a simple and nice white carrot cake, definitely suitable for anyone to enjoy.
