Spoilt for wanton mee choices, we noticed that Lo Chan Kee Cantonese Wanton Noodles opened an outlet at Teck Ghee market and hence we gave it a try for this wanton mee food review.
Noodles were the usual mee kia, chewy and springy, with slightly more pork lard added for the extra fragrance mixed into their sauce. In away, the other sauce flavour were covered by the pork lard, but still savoury. Wantons were rather small but still tasty but lacking in texture. Char siew slices were extremely unsatisfying, tough and bland, not exactly what we expected if they are expanding their business. Their signature dish should be great to warrant expansion. Finally, at $3.50, it was definitely filling with the quantity of noodles.
Although Lo Chan Kee Cantonese Wanton Noodles’s wanton noodles may lean towards a lackluster, it does carry some merits of a simple meal. However, we would definitely choose the other stalls for our wanton noodles fix.
