What to eat at LeNu Chef Wai’s Noodle Bar? Or perhaps you are looking for a nice bowl of ramen? YumzYumz tried out their braised wagyu beef noodle and here is our food review of it.
To start off, we had to choose the type of soup base :
Authentic 红烧
Pickled vegetable 酸菜
Spicy 香辣
Next was our choice of noodles :
Thick vermicelli
Ramen or la mian
Rice noodle
We got their authentic soup with ramen noodles.
Their authentic or 红烧 soup base was fabulously deep and rich with flavour, not overtly greasy, smooth on the palate. Pairing nicely with the soul warming soup was their perfectly blanched ramen noodles. Garnished at the top were some chopped spring onions for taste elevation, and a scoop of pickled vegetables for the added texture and acidity.
Finally, the defining ingredient of braised wagyu beef. There were approximately 4 medium sized chunky beef, with delicate texture that almost melted in our mouths. Lean meat ratio was more compared to the amount of fats. The distinct beefy flavour permeated through every taste buds and long lingered on after every bite.
At $17.50, it may be slightly on the expensive spectrum, but Braised Wagyu Beef Noodle is definitely an item you must try out. Yummilicious!
