One of the two stalls that sells fried hokkien prawn noodles at Chomp Chomp, YumzYumz tried out Chia Keng Fried Hokkien Mee and here is our review of it.

This is a wet version of hokkien noodles, and it had an intense and deep wok hei flavour. Smokey and umami infused noodles that has soaked up whatever sweet potent stock they had brewed. Gooey and soft noodles, with pork lard bountifully added, the emitted aroma was absolutely inviting.

Crispy deep fried pork lard was added on top for the needed crunchy texture. Ingredients were sparsely found, with 3 to 4 slices of chewy squid, and 2 medium sized prawns.

Finally, their chili sauce/paste was zesty and spicy, which elevated their rich, intense, wok hei filled noodles.

For a $4 order, its portion and ingredients were somewhat underwhelming. Quality was fantastic, but quantity could be better. Still yummy though. ^^
