Smacked right at the junction of Holland Village, YumzYumz visited this kopi thiam with Pepper Castle gave them a try. This is our food review of their Tandoor Chicken Tikka.

First off, a tandoor is a cylindrical clay or metal oven used in cooking and baking. So what is tikka? Tikka is a dish consisting of pieces of meat and made by marinating the pieces in spices and yogurt and cooking them in a tandoor.

So, what we got were simply chicken cooked in a cylindrical cooking device, but out came a plate of AMAZINGLY smokey and out of this world TENDER marinated chicken. They were so soft, they almost melted in our mouths. The charred bits and slightly crisp skin gave the extra texture need as the meat was SO DAMN SOFT, totally infused with its awesome spice. And the minty sauce on the side and sliced onions perks up its flavour many folds.

At $5.50 for a quarter chicken, it was anytime better than KFC by miles. Tenderlicious and tasty, it was truly amazing and satisfying. For half a chicken it cost $10.90 and $19.90 for full chicken.
