Newly opened stall King of Lobster 龍虾之王, within a kopi thiam in Ang Mo Kio serves up small lobsters as its main ingredient. There are 4 main items on their menu, mainly rice, noodles, porridge and soup. Let’s see how is their noodles and was it good.
How was their noodles?
Surprisingly, the noodles were good, chewy, springy and great mix of sauces to bring out the flavour of the noodles.
How were the small lobsters?
The lobsters head were huge and full of lobster tomalley. You can get them all out and mix with the noodles and will taste really great. The lobsters were cooked just right, and stir-fried with garlic. The tails were small and bite-sized flesh. But with the quality of the overall dish, it was worthed every cent. So tasty!
One whole complete set meal!
And on the sides, you get huge scoops of edamame beans, corn, chopped scallions, one whole ajitsuke egg, a bowl of deep intense seafood soup with some toufu and four huge juicy clams! For dessert, you get a crispy and chewy pan fried green tea mochi, which was sweet, and the exact thing we needed after a delightful meal at King of Lobster at Ang Mo Kio.
Conclusion
King of Lobster certainly gives you a hearty, satisfying meal made up of so many variety of ingredients. Comparing this to any other stalls and at $6.80 a set, we certainly got the most of every cent we spent.
We certainly hope the stall owner gets more help as he was the only one taking orders, cooking, and plating. It sure is tough but he certainly moved really fast and serves up a hell of a storm of yummy goodie dish.
