What to eat at Old Airport Road hawker? We tried out some fried oyster omelette at the aptly named stall of Famous Old Airport Fried Oyster for their fried oyster omelette for this food review.
Seasoning and taste was particularly spot on, savoury and full of wok hey with the fragant fried eggs. Although somewhat greasy, but thats perhaps one of the given aspect when having fried oyster omelettes. Oysters were plump and juicy, pairing nicely with the starchy eggy concoction. Although the amount of eggs could have been more, it was somewhat acceptable and enjoyable, with roughly around 5 to 6 oysters. Coupled with their zinging spicy thick chili sauce, it was quite a lovely dish.
Pricing range from $6, $8, $10. We ordered the $6 size, and the amount was sufficient for sharing as a side dish.
For the pricing and portion, Famous Old Airport Fried Oyster’s fried oyster although greasily sinful, it was definitely a dish that we enjoyed.
