Fancying a light snack at Bukit Timah hawker centre, we decided to go for a simple yet hearty meal of chwee kueh for this food review.
Although spotting the same stall name throughout Singapore, each stall has its own merits and nip picks. For this particular chwee kueh stall at Bukit Timah, chai por or preserved radish were given amply, savoury and crunchy, not too tiny bits, slightly dry which could be slightly greasier for our liking. Kuehs or rice cakes were firm, a teeny weeny too firmed for our liking, hence did not had the silky texture we love.
At $2 for 4 pieces, their chwee kuehs are still a nice light meal or a good add on to your main item from other stalls.
