Craving for some good pie, YumzYumz tried out Kemono pies which they have some great reviews online. We got 5 different flavours of their pies and here is what we thought of them.

    Kemono Pies

First off, we thought they were a sit in restaurant, but when we went to collect our orders which we made via Kemono’s website, we learnt that they only do takeaways.

We got their combo set of pies, 4 pies and get 1 free for $42.60. It would be much more expensive if we got them individually.

Tender spicy kampong beef curry pie

We wonder why the “kampong” term was in the naming, but its beef chunks were absolutely tenderlicious, mixed together with potatoes and thick reduced spicy curry. It was bursting with flavour and generous ingredients.

    Wagyu beef shabu shabu pie

Loads beef and shimeji mushrooms jammed packed into fluffy buttery pie crust, with sweet sand savoury sauce. Delectably satisfying and comforting.

    Tokyo triple cheese beef pie

This has got to be our favourite pie at Kemono. A slice of cheese on top, with loads of cheese, beef chunks and potatoes stuffed into its 10cm pie crust. It was creamy, beefy and deep with flavourful depth.

    Baked chicken curry pie

Somewhat mundane filling of dense curry chicken, but with two quail eggs which gave it an extra omph of difference. Spicy and harmonized nicely with their fragrant crust.

    Texas BBQ chicken pie

A mixture of tender chicken chunks with pies, onions, it had strong peppery taste along with barbeque sauce, which made it somewhat spicy yet sweet on the aftertaste. Wet interior which burst out its loaded filling as we cut it open.

    As for Kemono pie’s pricing,

Texas BBQ chicken pie : $10.59
Baked chicken curry pie : $10.59
Tokyo triple cheese beef pie : $10.59
Tender spicy kampong beef curry pie :$10.59
Wagyu beef shabu shabu pie : $11.66

We saved $11.42 by getting their combo set. ^^

    Conclusion

Kemono pies seemed alittle expensive on hindsight, but after tasting them, their pricing is definitely justifiable. It is not easy to come across such quality and quantity, and easily accessible with their island wide delivery through their website.

You can place your order through Kemono’s website which is fast and easy. You can also follow them on their Facebook or Instagram to get their latest offers.
