At $15 a bowl, this Yakiniku Don at Gaijin Japanese Soul Food offers a burst of flavour and texture.
It contains intense flavoured short plate beef slices, sauteed with onions and their awesome special yakiniku sauce. It is then topped with an onsen egg, negi (Japanese Long Onion), goma seeds and beni shoga (ume-pickled ginger)
Just look at the juicy tender beef slices. The onions and negi gives it the crunchiness from every bite.
The slight fattiness from the fats gives it a whole lot of depth of flavour.
Not forgetting the onsen egg. When mixed with the rice and yakiniku sauce, every Japanese foodie knows it is a match made in heaven.
