Firstly, the menu at Tajimaya is extensive, with plenty of options for meat lovers. Australian wagyu short ribs, wagyu oyster blade, wagyu short plates, chuck eye rolls, ox tongue, lamb shoulder, teriyaki chicken, and pork belly are just some of the meat choices available. We especially enjoyed the beautifully marbled short ribs and short plates. Secondly, Tajimaya also offers a variety of seafood options, such as teriyaki salmon, black pepper swordfish, shishamo, half shell scallops, lemon saba fish, huge tiger prawns, and kabayaki unagi. For those who enjoy sashimi, Tajimaya has free-flowing salmon, tuna, and swordfish cubes, which are a great complement to the grilled proteins.
In addition to the meats and seafood, there are also delicious cooked appetizers, including wafu onsen tamago, cod fish bites, crumbed scallops, avocado prawn balls, and cheese croquettes. Tajimaya also offers some Japanese staples such as garlic shoyu fried rice, yaki nori rice, mini bara chirashi don, and aburi salmon mentaiko don, which are all worth trying.
Furthermore, the service at Tajimaya was fantastic. The friendly and helpful staff were quick to refill our charcoal grill whenever it ran low. The dining experience was memorable, with a great atmosphere and plenty of delicious food options.
The prices at Tajimaya are on the higher side, but considering the quality and variety of food on offer, it’s definitely justifiable. Lunch prices for adults are $59.90++, while dinner prices are $69.90++. Children aged 5 to 12 years old are charged at $30.90++ for lunch and $35.90++ for dinner.
