Thinking of what to eat for lunch at Ang Mo Kio Teck Ghee, and we spotted Pong Noodle Village, with their bright white signage with chinese characters. Here is our food review for their wanton noodles.
Noodles were the usual mee kia, nicely blanched, springy to the bite. Sauce mix was subtly peppery, emitting pork lard fragrance, not too greasy and clinging nicely to the noodles. Noodles quantity was somewhat depressing though. Char siew slices were thin and but not exactly as tender as they seemed to be. Wantons were extra plump, 4 in total.
At $3.50 a plate, although lacking in noodles quantity, Pong Noodle Village wantons were pleasantly tasty and generous.
