One of the many stalls in Mayflower Market and Food Centre selling wanton mee, YumzYumz tried out Jin Song’s wanton mee. Let’s find out how it fared.

First impression was great, with lots of sliced char siew placed on top. Quantity was great, but quality was slightly underwhelming, as the char siew were dry and tough, flavour and taste was mildly present.

Noodles were chewy, texture was on the dry spectrum with almost no sauce mix but well coated with subtly sourish chili sauce.

3 wantons were provided and they plump and provided quite a mouthful. Each were generously wrapped, with bits and pieces of crunchy turnips or sorts. Savoury and not the pepperish kind, each were a delight to our palettes.

At $3.50 a plate, Jin Song wanton noodles at Mayflower Market and Food Centre were filling but mediocrely satisfying.
