Located in the heartlands of Serangoon, YumzYumz discovered this Noodle Delight (seemingly a VERY common stall name) stall and decided to give them a try. This is our food review of their wanton noodles.
We had their combo set as it seemed to have all the items on their menu within one dish.
First off, their noodles were decent with the usual mee kia, heavy on the oyster sauce and pork oil, probably considered as “old school” taste. Secondly, we had two plump wantons which tasted savoury and pepperish, nothing to shout out about.
Next was their deep fried dumplings which were nice and crunchy on the exterior and interior, tasted as what you will expect from any decent dumplings.
Char siew slices were paper thin, totally lean and no fat content whatsoever and dry.
The penultimate dissapointment point had got to be the chicken feat. It was cold, tasted somewhat sourish, and impossible to finish. Just tasted weird….
Priced at $4.50 a plate, Noodle Delight Chinatown Famous Wanton Noodle’s wanton noodles are at most decent, even with their title of “famous” within their naming.
