Looking for a place for a date and a nice Japanese restaurant? Cho Omakase is the place you may like to consider. The ambience was quiet, cozy and classy, it sets the mood for peaceful dining really well.
The Unagi set was what we had, and it was surprisingly satisfying. Quality is of the highest standards, as what you will expect for a $38 set meal. A huge slab of well marinated eel was meticulously set on top of a serving of Japanese rice.
The rice wasn’t just plain simple sushi rice, for every grain was literally glazed with the sauce from the eel. So fragrant, so caramelized, so yummy! The whole plate presentation was almost like a humongous sushi. So expensive but so worth it.
A few pointers to note aside from the main. Firstly, the other accompanying dishes were decent and great too, like the assorted sashimi dish. Secondly, salad was decent and nice touch of adding the tobiko. Lastly, the miso soup was on the salty side, but still acceptable.
Most importantly, the whole dining experience was simply amazing. From the ambience, to the service, and to the food were all simply exquisite and worthy of the highest recommendations. Yummy!
