Deep-fried and shaped like a flying saucer, hence the nickname of UFO, Fuzhou oyster cakes are a delight to have and we got the chance to review this famous stall at Maxwell food centre.

The exterior crust was crispy, savoury, extremely oily and had a few peanuts stuffed on top. On the inside, it was mushy, savoury, filled with chinese celery, pork, mini prawns and of course, oysters, but taste was mostly overpowered with chinese celery.

For the record, we got 1 oyster and 1 small prawn in our oyster cake. At $2 a piece, it was alittle pricey for a single cake, but thankfully it was totally yummilious.
