What do you get with turmeric fried chicken with nasi lemak? A satisfying tummy! Coupled with sweet and spicy umami packed sambal chili, and cripsy fluffy “zai er” or 齋鹅 (vegetarian mock goose). It’s just the right concoction of happiness.
Well marinated turmeric fried chicken, not too salty, not too oily. Just right yummy! Everything hitting the right notes, making your toes go wriggling to a mini dance.
Their sambal chili was so damn awesome. Sweet yet spicy, thick and flavourful.
The rice was decent, nothing out of the norm. But with all its accomplices on the sides, it was forgivable for its mediocracy.
Soya bean curd skin “zai er” or 齋鹅 (vegetarian mock goose), was so fluffy, so crispy, so so yummy. You usually get it with the noodles, but having it with nasi lemak is awesome too! Gives everything an extra crunch.
The left side is for nasi lemak queue, and the right is for the noodles. So don’t waste your time queuing on the right if you are there for their nasi lemak.
For this plate of coconut milk rice, turmeric fried chicken, fried egg and zai er, it cost only $3.50!
Highly recommended!
