Time for some atas food in Singapore during this suffocating Phase 2 Heightend Alert (P2HA). Famous for their heavenly charcoal grilled beef, we took away from Yen Yakiniku their YEN burger and let’s break it down further.
Introduced by a friend, we gave Yen Yakiniku’s YEN Burger a try and it simply blew our minds, in various ways.
Firstly, Yen Yakiniku’s Instagram featured a lovely and saliva inducing image of their burger invention. However, wrapping of the burger from neatly wrapped pack revealed an awfully squashed burger. We believe this won’t be the case if we were served during dine-in. Simpyl frustrating….
Nevertheless, we gave it a go and on the first bite, we were left speechless. Tons of flavour hit our palates all at once.
Nicely grilled fluffy sesame buns with wasabi mayo on the crusty caramalized side. Smokey and chewy bacon nicely grilled, and crunchy swiss brown mushrooms complimenting the bacon texture.
Next were slices of emmental and cheddar cheese slices oozing and holding every ingredients in place.
The star of this out of the world burger was the chargrilled thick juicy smokey wagyu patty. Well caramalized exterior with pinkish interior and juice flowing, happiness and euphoria inducing food just ain’t that easy to find.
Finally at the bottom were a variety of greens that were infused with all the smokey juicy goodness of bacon fat, beef juices, and yet still crunchy and refreshing. On the sides were mundane fries which just ain’t worth the calories count with what we just had.
Carrying a heavy price tag of $25 for this divine burger creation by Yen Yakiniku, we guess it is worth splurging alittle on amazing food, especially with the quality that we just had.
However, if fast food junkies don’t mind forking out $22 for a Godzilla burger or Kong burger, then Yen Yakiniku’s burger wins hands down in terms of quality.
