Another stall with a signage that has another place’s name as its naming, Marsiling in a Bishan area. YumzYumz tried out Marsiling Teochew Fish Soup and here is what we have reviewed it.
Their soup was mildly tasty, almost bland to an extent, with subtle umami to it, underwhelming. Fish slices were meaty, slightly savoury, with about 5 slices given. Fried shallots and greens were added for the extra layer of sweetness, flavour and texture. The deep fried egg mixture were pleasantly tasty, almost like it was the main ingredient and overshadowing what was suppose to be the star, the soup.
At $4.50 with such mediocre standard, Marsiling Teochew Fish Soup’s Sliced Fish Soup may probably be at the bottom of our list of what to eat at Shunfu Mart.
