What to eat at Astons? Astons Steak & Salad has a salad bar which offers a variety of items such as onion rings, soup, salad of course, ice cream and drinks, all free flow. We had their signature item of sirloin steak and here is our food review of it.
We had our sirloin steak at medium rare done as usual. It was pinkish in the middle all round, slightly more to the reddish hue. The crust was perfectly caramelized and well seasoned. Portion was slightly larger than our palm size, juicy and satisfying. That is how a steak should be done, compared to this underwhelming steak.
We had our side as a baked potato, which had a dollop of butter within, and a cup of mushroom sauce, which was cold when served…
Service was acceptable but begging some improvements in terms of warmth and friendliness.
At $29.90 a pop, Aston’s sirloin steak was yummilicious with the right charred-ness, done-ness was spot on, and their salad bar was pretty comprehensive. You are paying mostly for the free flow of items at the salad bar rather than your mains.
