Looking for Wanton mee at Bukit Timah hawker, and we tried out Old Airport Road Wanton Noodle for this food review.
Presentation was moderately appetizing, with loads of char siew placed on top. Noodles were more than the usual quantity that you get from other stalls. But the quality was appalling, with taste close to almost bland. Sauce mix was drenching but yet severely lacking in taste. Char siew was chunky, sweet but dry. There 2 were 2 fried wantons, with ample flavour and savouriness. Same goes to the 3 wantons in a bowl of strongly brewed soup, plump and yummy.
For $4.50 a bowl of their signature wanton noodles, no doubt wantons were nice, quantity was justifiable for the price, but the noodles were dissapointing.
