Besides vegetarian beehoon, prawn noodles and wanton noodles at Mayflower hawker, there is also laksa by Quan Xing Mei Shi, which will definitely whet any laksa fan’s appetite.
Creamy and spicy laksa gravy, deep with flavour and not those chili powder texture, it had a strong coconut milk taste and tiny bits of dried prawns.
Topping well blanched thick beehoon were a mountain of generous ingredients. These includes fluffy spongey tau pok, plenty of fish cakes, bean sprouts for the extra crunch, a scope of their spicy and irresistible chili sauce to assault the taste buds and enhance the gravy. Lastly, a generous scoop of cockles to complete any laksa meal, tasted fresh and bloody. Yummilicious!
At a mere $3, we got a bowl of accentuating laksa dish that had the alluring perfumed laksa fragrance and richness in terms of quantity and quality. Recommended!
