Thinking of roti prata from Jalan Kayu for your morning breakfast or midnight supper craving? We got ourselves some from Thohirah, the corner shop at Jalan Kayu for this roti prata food review.
Kosong or plain prata was cold, hard and “doughy” texture. Not a single bit had any trace of being crispy or fluffy, which in our opinion, what roti pratas should be. If roti pratas ain’t cripsy, or fluffy, then it’s certainly just a waste of calories intake… Egg prata was equally horrendous, cold and stiff with zero appeal. Thankfully, the curry sauce was thick and spicy, enough to cover up what we got in our pratas.
Each plain/kosong prata was $1.50, and an egg prata was $2.50. Service was fairly swift, with friendly attitude.
Unless there ain’t any other stalls selling pratas, we would definitely not recommend this joint at Jalan Kayu.
