This always long queue stall at Ang Mo Kio Central offers juicy, tender roasted chicken, with oily well roasted skin. The sauce concoction that is drizzled onto it isn’t overly salty, not too oily.
The rice comes in a bowl instead of the standard plate, and every grain of rice was fragrant, not overly oily, and nicely separated, not the mushy type.
On top of the standard chicken and rice, for $3.50 we got a bowl of chicken peanut soup. The flesh of the chicken literally fell of the bones and melts in your mouth. The soup was dense and immensely flavourful.
Their chili was decent, watery type and nothing to shout out about. Service attitude was transactional, fast paced.
At that kind of pricing for nicely done chicken, well cooked rice, a bowl of hearty soup, no wonder the queue is always so damn long.
