Chicken wings at IKEA needs no introduction. But for their limited edition rendang chicken wings for this year’s Hari Raya Puasa Festival, YumzYumz tried their new menu item and here is our food review of it.
Chicken wings were standard as usual, greasy juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. They were tossed and flipped around in a bowl with rendang sauce in it, making sure every inch was covered.
Rendang sauce was slightly spicy, thick and creamy. With the already oily chicken wings, the sauce added another level of flavour, as layer fats and heightened the state of guilt in anyone looking to shed some weight.
After watching Cowspiracy on Netflix, it was difficult not to think of meat sustainability, but heck, with such creations from IKEA, it will be a mountain to climb for humanity to kick the meat culture.
Stated on their website, it states that their chicken wings are sourced from indoor cage-free chicken, and this rendang sauced drenched chicken wings are available from 12 Apr – 31 May 2021.
Minimum of 6 pieces of chicken wings which goes for $9.50, do hurry before this limited item stops selling.
