Not to be mistaken with its next door neighbour of the same Lai Heng naming, offering awesome char kway teow, this is one laksa we will never return to.
The laksa soup was really dilute, and had a sourish taste. Not really foul sour, but slightly. Was it the intended taste or was it going bad? Well, we didn’t take our chances and didn’t continue from there. The thick beehoon noodles were, alright, cooked decently. The cockles were alright, and so were the rest. There were heaps of chili paste at the bottom of the soup. Was it intended or was the soup not thoroughly mixed? Nevertheless, the taste was off putting enough for us to stop in our tracks. Bleah…….
The essence of laksa is the soup and if you can’t get that right, it sure as hell failed.
