We got some braised pig trotters along with their pig organ soup at Soon Lee Pig’s Organ Soup. Let’s find out how we faired their pig trotters in this food review.
Lean meat vs fat ratio was balanced and harmonizing, with a pleasant sheen on its collagen filled skin. Springy and gelatin-liked skin went well with white rice, at 60cents a bowl. Flesh were tenderlicious, soaked and braised thoroughly with their gravy. Gravy was somewhat light, and runny, not the kind of thick consistency like Yong Ji Bak Kut Teh’s pig trotters. Chili sauce was deep and hearty, with subtle acidic component. Quantity was somewhat dissapointing with 3 chunky portions. There were a couple of pig hair found on the skin which was somewhat off putting.
Priced at $4.20 for small which we got, and $6.20 for large.
Soon Lee Pig’s Organ Soup’s Pig Trotters quality was satisfactory but probably not the same could be said of their quantity.
