YumzYumz made a casual visit to Ang Mo Kio block 339 for breakfast and we had nasi lemak at this corner stall at Ang Choon Huat Eating House. This is our food review of their nasi lemak set.
The rice was kinda dry but somwhat soft and still emitting a pleasant coconut fragrance. Accompanying it was a deep fried skinny chicken wing but still tasty. On the side was an otah which lacked texture and bite, way too mushy.
The other ingredients were the usual suspects of luncheon meat, fried egg, and peanuts/ikan bilis.
And finally, the sambal chili was way too salty for our liking, no sweetness at all but really pack a punch in the spiciness department. Salty, not sweet, spicy, still acceptable.
For $4 a plate, we got an otah, fried egg, chicken wing, luncheon meat, peanuts and ikan bilis to accompany a generous amount of rice, it was definitely worth the price for a hearty breakfast or even lunch.
