For a stall that sells only TWO items, they sure garner a long queue early in the morning. Everyone is there for their mee siam or mee rebus.
For $2.50, we got a simple yet deep flavoured mee rebus. The gravy was smooth, creamy, strong flavour of dried prawns.
What we got in their iconic orange plate (the seating area was full of these. Everyone was having a plate of Shi Xian) was the well blanched noodles, gravy, spring onions, sliced eggs, lime, and their unique, definitely handmade chili sauce. It was tangy, really spicy, and goes really well with this homely dish.
Simple and nothing fancy chinese style Mee Rebus. For what it’s worth, it was filling and affordable.
