Where to get mala cravings satisfied in Punggol? We headed to Fat Po for their mala mushroom spaghetti for this food review.
Spaghetti was nice and chewy, thoroughly coated with a greasy spicy mala sauce. Spices were in abundance, mixed with roasted peanuts for the needed crunchy texture. Their szechuan mala paste used was really spicy, numbing to the taste buds, and definitely hits the right notes if you are looking for a mala kick. Other ingredients were some assorted fresh mushrooms like shimeji mushrooms. Placed on top were 2 battered oyster mushroom, extremely greasy, crunchy and savoury.
Ambience was nice and spacious, located at western end of Punggol, and a great spot for supper, with many other eateries and pubs around.
At $16.80 a plate, quantity was alittle underwhelming, but quality was definitely good. Fat Po is definitely one place you would want to visit in Punggol for a nice catchup with friends. Definitely not a place for you to throw plates around. ^^
