Looking for fried yong tau foo items with thick creamy fragrant laksa curry? Look no further. Just head down to Xi Xiang Feng at Ang Mo Kio for your craving. Here is our food review for this sinfully luxurious bowl of goodness.
We selected about 6 items, ordered laksa as the base instead of the usual soup (healthier choice) or the dry version with their amazing special sauce, requested for cockles. The total price for this goody yummy creamy laksa was $7.50. Slightly expensive for a hawker yong tau foo meal, but with what we added, it was easily justifiable.
The laksa gravy/curry was thick, creamy, full of bits of dried shrimp, bits and pieces of their signature crispy meatball that we added.

The thick beehoon noodles were cooked nicely, bean sprouts added the extra crunch to every bite, and the tau pok was spongy and soaked up the goodness of the gravy.
Xi Xiang Feng’s signature crispy meatball is an item that you MUST add to your order, regardless of soup, dry or laksa. Without it, you might as well order from the other boring usual yong tau foo stalls that boils every damn thing.
It may be really sinful for such heavy meal, but this bowl of laksa goodness at Xi Xiang Feng sure was worth every cent we paid for.
