We had a sudden urge for ramen, and something crispy. Took a look at GrabFood and saw Takagi Ramen, and they had this new item on their menu, Kuroyama Ramen. Picture looks good, but does it taste good? Let’s find out.

Unwrapping it unveiled their usual packaging of noodles separated from the soup base, and in this case, crispy seaweed was in a separate box.

On top of the noodles were their usual generous portion of thinly sliced scallions, giving the extra crunch and texture to tenderly braised cha chu slices, although slightly on the dry side.

Noodles although packed separately, when mixed with their aromatic shoyu soup, it came back to life. And of course they offer free additional noodles which we got. ^^

For this food adventure, we placed every item in a separate bowl for display. Isn’t a partial lock down good for such simple pleasures? ^^

Noodles were fine, pork was alright, soup was deep and tasty. But the star has got to be their crispy tempura seaweed strips. Amazingly aromatic and elevates the flavour and texture of every mouthful of noodles. Yummy!

For $14.90 a bowl cup order, Takagi Ramen’s latest Kuroyama Ramen, tempura seaweed with tender pork belly certainly hits the spot for satisfaction. By the way, we got it from GrabFood. Please treat your food delivery person with respect ya. ^^
