At $8.56, Indonesian Nasi Goreng Istemewa with Chicken Rendang offers nicely sambal fried rice, spicy tender chicken rendang, two sticks of chunky juicy satays, a sunny side up egg, some keropok, and crunchy achar (pickled mixed vegetables).
The sambal fried rice is not soggy nor clumpy. It is perfectly fried, with amazing depth of flavour. Coupled with the extra sambal on the sides, it simply blows your mind. Mix in the aromatic rendang sauce from the chicken, it is a match made in heaven.
The chicken drumstick must have been simmering in the rendang for quite sometime, breaking down the meat so well, it literally slide off the bone.
Spicy, sweet, savoury sambal sauce. You will go OMG good when you taste it with the fried rice. ^^
Chunky tender satay stick compliments the fried rice and rendang sauce so damn well.
