The recent Popeye’s waffle burger looks really yummy and tempting. So we just had to give it a try.
Let’s briefly break it down the elements.
The waffle “buns” are soft and fluffy, oily to the touch and sinks in when held on. It doesn’t hold the “burger” well. Good idea, but not practical.
The inside is a sad horror scene. Dry mushy macaroni slabbed onto the waffle before slapping all together.
The meat patty was dry to the core. The chicken was probably killed thrice to get to this stage. Oily with some herb-like taste. The chicken meat patty was flat and dried out totally.
The box comes with Popeye’s usual mash potatos, and freaking oily tasteless chicken tenders.
If it is sinful and delicious, maybe it is worth the calories count. But when it is this bad, then you probably want to turn away and get a KFC or even Texas Chicken.
