Located with Bukit Timah’s KAP Mall, Gaijin Japanese Soul Food offers a satisfying Plate of Katsu Curry Don at $18. Quite acceptable for a restaurant standard pricing, but with its quality, it certainly is worth it.
Deep fried hokkaido Shiro Buta ‘snow pork’ cutlet topped with rich savoury potato and carrot, an onsen egg, and beni shoga (ume-pickled ginger).
Juicy and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, it was really a mouth watering experience.
Here you get a few chunks of potatoes simmering in the sweet curry.
Onsen egg, or soft boil egg, it added a depth of taste to the curry and rice.
