Comparing the queue with Xi Xiang Feng Yong Tau Foo, the queue at Happy Garden was significantly shorter. Although different food on the menu, the quality is definitely on par.
The noodles sauce mix was deep and intense, prawns were fresh and crunchy, pork slices were tender, and a generous amount of fried pork lard was served.
At $3.50 a bowl, a wonder concert of ingredients were brought together to create one satisfying prawn noodles. Not to forget the deep deep flavoured prawn broth. Ordering the dry version gives you best of both worlds. But if you fancy the soup version, you aren’t really missing out much.
These pictures really does give it justice of what it truly is. A truly underrated stall that serves what prawn noodles should be.
