Located in the heartlands and near west end of Singapore, YumzYumz tried out their fried chicken nasi briyani and this is our food review of how it went.
Presented with a huge circular plate, the amount of basmati rice was enormous, enough for 2 persons to share. Placed at the top was a fried chicken thigh that was reheated in a microwave. Although it is the usual practice for such stalls, it still irks us as we won’t know how long ago was the chicken made.
Nevertheless, it was crispy on the outside, and dry on the inside. The rice was not the best we had, and needed much more taste, as it was after all nasi briyani.
Curry gravy was not warm, and non spicy. On the sides were some ah char and a piece of papadum crisp.
At $5.50 a plate, the quantity of nasi briyani was huge and definitely worth it, but sadly, lacks a depth of quality.
