Located within Far East Shopping Centre, YumzYumz visited Shashlik Restaurant and tried out their fish and chips. Here is our food review for on of their signature items.

Halibut fillets fried to a crispy golden brown, served with steakhouse fries.

There were 3 fish fillets which were crispy, not overtly oily, with flaky and seasoned piping hot flesh within. The fillets were somewhat underwhelming in terms of portion. Potato wedges, or rather steakhouse fries were fresh out of the fryer, extremely hot and generously salted.

On the sides were crunchy greens with red turnip slices to complete the meal.

At $26 an order, it was an over priced dish with straightforward items, nothing surprising nor mind blowing. If you are to spend at such an exquisite restaurant, you might as well order the other items such as their Shashlik of Beef or Oxtail Stew.

Do note that there is no dress code, as slippers and bermudas are allowed as it is a family friendly restaurant. Just do not wear revealing clothes or inappropriate dressing.
