Located on the ground level of National Library at Bugis, Hanis Cafe is part of the chain of Han’s Cafes, except that it is a Halal-certified outlet. We tried that fish and chips and this is how we thought of it.

The batter was crispy and tasty, just the way how battered fish should be. However, the inside slightly mushy, and needed a some seasoning to it. Coleslaw and french fries were decent, and the mushroom soup was commercially bought standard, chunky and salty. The garlic bread of a sad piece of work and should be tossed away. It was almost stale and tasteless.

At $9.80 for the whole set meal, it was a decent and filling meal. And the staff were really friendly and approachable, which we felt really welcoming.
