As the movie Godzilla vs Kong goes to the big screen, Carl’s Junior is offering a limited time menu of gigantic burgers named after each of the titans : Godzilla burger and Kong burger. YumzYumz gave it a go and here is what our food review of it.

As the item names suggest, they really sized up to what they are named after. They were humongous! We definitely got heavy breathing even by looking at them.

    Gozilla Burger

Sandwiched between a golden bun, there were THREE thick juicy Carls Junior style beef patties and each patty was topped with a slice of cheese. At the top and bottom were slices of greasy crispy bacons, and the buns were spread with mayonnaise sauce.

Just take a look at the cross section pictures. Grease were dripping all over our hands as we took it on. Do you think you can take on it?

    King Kong Burger

Compared to the Godzilla burger, the Kong burger uses sesame topped buns and there were lettuces, tomato slices, giving the whole giant burger the much needed crunchy texture. Similar to the Godzilla burger were THREE thick beef patties, each with a slice of cheese. And instead of mayonnaise, a special Carl’s Junior sauce was used, giving it a nice barbeque sweet taste.

    Conclusion

So which burger won the battle? According to YumzYumz, our opinion definitely went with ….. KONG BURGER!

The Godzilla burger priced at $22 and the Kong burger priced at $18, each comes with a drink of choice, and no sides, which is logical. Who in their right mind would be able to finish one damn gigantic burger with sides?! ^^

The added veggies were extremely crucial as it gave a balance of power against the greasy meaty beef patties. And with the unique Carl’s Junior sauce, it was definitely much more satisfying than the Godzilla burger, which was way too greasy and one dimensional texture: meaty.

Just remember to give it a go with a TOTALLY empty stomach.
